Lelouch vi Britannia is the foremost protagonist in Code Geass. He is the main character in the Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion and Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 series as well as a supporting character in side stories like Code Geass: OZ the Reflection and Code Geass: Lancelot and Guren.

He is the 11th Prince of Holy Britannian Empire, son of Charles Zi Britannia, 98th emperor of Holy Britannian Empire, and Marianne Vi Britannia, 98th empress of Holy Britannian Empire. Lelouch was banished to Japan after the death of his mother and her sister became paralyzed.

Due to what happened, he was angry at his father for letting the accident happened to the point that he renounced his candidacy to the throne as well as his title. He was then held as a political hostage in Japan because of the conflict of ownership of Sakuradite mines between Japan and Britannia, he used the alias Lelouch Lamperouge.

Lelouch formed a group named The Order of the Black Knights, a group of vigilante rebels who fights the Holy Britannian Empire. He used Zero as his pseudo name. He was also known as one who can use Geass.

His eyes have Geass which can control other people’s minds. It affects their reasoning, decision making, and other things, Lelouch often uses his Geass to control people or when he wants them to be his ally.
